BOGOTA (AlertNet) - As part of AlertNet's series profiling elderly people around the world, we visit 66-year-old Maria Vanegas who was forced from her home in the southern Colombian town of Florencia eight years ago because of rebel violence.
She now lives among hundreds of thousands of other displaced families in the slums of Bogota.
She talks to AlertNet about why she fled her home, her new life in Bogota and growing old.
