WASHINGTON, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Widespread corruption undermines U.S. and NATO efforts to establish security and growth in Afghanistan, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.
The Pentagon said in a periodic report to Congress that while the Afghan government was making some efforts to combat corruption, there was a "questionable" commitment to ending impunity and prosecuting corrupt officials.
