KARACHI, Nov 28 (Reuters) - A plane carrying eight people crashed after taking off early on Sunday from Karachi airport in Pakistan, the Civil Aviation Authority said.

Spokesman Pervez George said first reports indicated it was a Russian cargo plane. Express 24/7 television said it might have been a passenger plane which crashed in a residential area.
