GENEVA, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Iran and six major powers will meet again in Istanbul by the end of January, an EU diplomat said on Tuesday after the two sides ended two days of talks on Iran's nuclear programme.

The diplomat was confirming comments by Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, that Iran would hold further talks with the six powers -- the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany. (Reporting by David Brunnstrom; Writing by Jonathan Lynn)
