BEIJING, Dec 9 (Reuters) - China's Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that military threats could not resolve the tensions on the Korean peninsula.

Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, criticised China earlier on Thursday for enabling its ally Pyongyang's "reckless behaviour". [ID:nTOE6B802B].

Foreign ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu told a regular news conference that she questioned what Mullen had done for "peace and stability in the region", calling his remarks on China's support for North Korea an "accusation".
