KABUL, Dec 12 (Reuters) - An insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan killed six foreign troops from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) on Sunday, ISAF said in a statement.

ISAF did not give any further details.

The deaths are the bloodiest toll from a single incident for foreign troops since six troops were shot dead on Nov. 29 by a renegade border policeman.
