WASHINGTON, Dec 12 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama will make a statement on Thursday on the review of the U.S. war strategy in Afghanistan, a senior administration official said on Sunday.
Obama ordered the review, which is due to be completed by mid-December, after dispatching 30,000 more troops to break the momentum of the Taliban. U.S. officials have cautioned that the review will not lead to any major changes in strategy.
