Dec 15 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1700 GMT on Wednesday:

KANDAHAR - Three Afghan children were killed and nine people were wounded, including two children and an Afghan policeman, by a homemade bomb in southern Kandahar province, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement. A provincial police official said the explosives were attached to a bicycle and went off on a road leading to the airport.

HELMAND - NATO aircraft accidentally killed an Afghan civilian and wounded two children when they were called in to support a patrol which had come under attack in Marjah in southern Helmand province on Tuesday, ISAF said in a statement.

* KABUL - An ISAF service member was killed in an insurgent attack in eastern Afghanistan, the coalition said in a statement. It gave no further details.
