KABUL, Dec 30 (Reuters) - More than 10 Afghan civilians were killed on Thursday when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb in the country's southern Helmand province, authorities and the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.
Several more civilians were wounded in the incident in Nahr-e Saraj district, ISAF said.
Violence is at its worst in Afghanistan since U.S.-backed Afghan troops ousted the Taliban in 2001, with record deaths on all sides of the near-decade long conflict. (If you have a query or comment about this story, send an e-mail to news.feedback.asia@thomsonreuters.com)
