KHARTOUM, Jan 12 (Reuters) - South Sudan's independence referendum will exceed the 60 percent turnout threshold needed for the vote to be valid, the commission organising the poll said on Wednesday.
"The final percentage (of participation) for the referendum process will exceed 60 percent," commission member Suad Ibrahim Eissa said in a statement. (Reporting by Opheera McDoom)
