Jan 13 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Pakistan at 0710 GMT on Thursday.

* denotes new or updated items.

BANNU - A roadside bomb hit a police van in the northwestern town of Bannu, killing two policemen and wounding three, police said.

The attack came a day after a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a mosque in the same town and killed 17 paramilitary soldiers and policemen.

Bannu is on the border with North Waziristan, a known hub of al Qaeda and Taliban militants.

* QUETTA - One paramilitary soldier was killed and three wounded when their vehicle hit a landmine in southwestern town of Dera Bugti. Tribal militants in the southwestern Baluchistan province have waged a low-level insurgency for decades for greater autonomy and control over the resources of their mineral-rich region.
