ISLAMABAD, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Pakistan at 0730 GMT on Monday.

* PESHAWAR - A suspected suicide bomber blew himself up near the car of a senior police officer in Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar on Monday, killing the officer, his driver and a guard, officials said.

More than a dozen people were wounded, city administrator Siraj Ahmed said.

Hours later, another a police vehicle hit a roadside bomb on the outskirts of the city, killing one policeman and wounding several others.

Militants linked to al Qaeda and the Taliban have killed many police officials as well as senior security officers spearheading operations against their bases in the turbulent region bordering Afghanistan.
