Feb 7 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1430 GMT on Monday.

* indicates new or updated items.

* KANDAHAR - A suicide bomber killed an Afghan interpreter working for U.S. forces in an attack on a customs office in southern Kandahar city, police said. The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) also said one person was killed and five wounded, including two ISAF service members.

* KABUL - An ISAF service member was killed by a homemade bomb in southern Afghanistan, the coalition said. It gave no further details other than to say the incident was separate to the Kandahar city attack.

* HELMAND - An Afghan child was killed inadvertently in an air strike during ISAF operations in southern Helmand province, ISAF said in a statement. The child was found dead in a compound near the intended target of the air strike.

KHOST - Taliban insurgents wearing Afghan army uniforms ambushed and killed a provincial official in the Baak district of eastern Khost province, said Khost police chief Abdul Hakim Esaaqzai.
