TRIPOLI March 15 (Reuters) - A Reuters correspondent said he saw rebel forces pulling back from the eastern town of Ajdabiyah on Tuesday after an attack by government forces.

In a brief telephone conversation, the correspondent did not give details about the numbers of rebels retreating. Libyan state television said forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi were "in total control" of Ajdabiyah.
