CAIRO, May 8 (Reuters) - Gunfire rang out briefly on Sunday in a neighbourhood of the Egyptian capital where 10 people died overnight in clashes between Muslims and Christians, a Reuters witness said.

Residents warned passers-by to avoid the area around the church of Saint Mina in Cairo's Imbaba neighbourhood, which was mostly calm on Sunday morning after the clashes that raged late into Saturday night. (Reporting by Sarah Mikhail)
