KABUL, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0900 GMT on Saturday.

*KABUL - An improvised explosive device killed an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldier on Saturday in southern Afghanistan, ISAF said. ISAF gave no other details.

HELMAND - Four civillians were killed and 21 others, including many Afghan security forces, were wounded by a car bomb blast in the capital of southern Helmand province on Saturday, said Dawood Ahmadi, spokesman for the provincial governor.

Ahmadi said the blast took place near a Kabulbank branch where Afghan troops lined up to collect their monthly salaries.

KANDAHAR - Two blasts in southern city of Kandahar wounded at least 20 civilians, including women and children, the provincial governor's spokesman, Zalmay Ayoubi, said.

It was not immediately clear whether they were suicide or car bomb explosions, Ayoubi said. (Compiled by Kabul Bureau)
