As reported in the Latin American Herald Tribune

Brazil’s leading newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo has set up a new website that is hopes will allow its team of investigative journalists to expose more corruption scandals and the misuse of public funds, the Latin American Herald Tribune reports.

The initiative called “Folhaleaks”, a reference to the WikiLeaks website, will allow people to anonymously send unedited information and documents, which journalists will then investigate and compile.

“Folhaleaks was created to broaden the access of society to relevant information, tightening even more the relationship of the readers with the production of reporting of public interest,” Folha’s executive editor, Sergio Davila, is quoted as saying.

In recent months, Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper has uncovered major corruption scandals in the Brazilian government, which has prompted the resignation of several ministers.
