LONDON (12th October 2011) – Today Thomson Reuters Foundation launches youTrust.org, a new kind of social media platform that enables you to easily share multimedia information with your community of interest. It also gives you the means to create your own campaign and engage others on the issues you care about.
What makes it different? Curate content, be the editor, ignite debate!
YouTrust gives you the unique opportunity to create and share stunning multimedia pages – or “packages” – of related material: videos, photos, web links, blogs, articles, Twitter and RSS feeds – all in just a few clicks!
Produce beautiful multimedia campaigns, magazine spreads, portfolios of your work. These self-branded “packages” can then be shared through Facebook, Twitter, email and more.... And they will be visible to the whole youTrust community.
Find and share what interests you.
Interested in water issues? Women’s rights? Fair Trade? Conflict in Congo?
Choose your theme of interest and get instant access to the latest relevant videos, photos, articles, blogs, tweets, newsfeeds and live discussions through youTrust’s “livestreams”.
Share or “tip” photos, videos or articles you like from YouTube, FlickR, Vimeo, AlertNet, Alertnet Climate, TrustLaw Women, TrustLaw Good Governance, TrustLaw Pro Bono and TrustMedia simply by pasting a simple URL address.
Who is it for?
Our communities of NGOs, social entrepreneurs, pro bono lawyers and journalists, along with anybody interested in social, humanitarian and journalistic issues. Students, activists, campaigners, documentary-makers, photographers – all can make the most of youTrust.
