LONDON (TrustLaw) – Officers from London’s Metropolitan police force will keep their jobs despite being found guilty at a disciplinary hearing of smashing a suspect’s car with a baseball bat and pickaxe handle, The Guardian reported.

The six policemen from Enfield in North London were found guilty on Wednesday of discreditable conduct for using excessive force to stop a stolen car, the Guardian said.

The verdict came after ten months of surveillance by the Metropolitan police force’s directorate of professional standards, the Guardian said.
