WASHINGTON, Nov 10 (Reuters) - The United States "strongly condemns" the bombing by Sudan's armed forces of a refugee camp in the town of Yida in South Sudan and seeks an immediate end to the attacks, the White House said on Thursday.

"The United States demands the Government of Sudan halt aerial bombardments immediately. We urge the Government of South Sudan to exercise restraint in responding to this provocation to prevent further escalation of hostilities," White House press secretary Jay Carney said in a statement.
