JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia, Nov 30 (Reuters) - The world's largest Islamic body urged Syria on Wednesday to "immediately stop using excessive force" against citizens, in a statement released after the group's meeting in Saudi Arabia.
The head of Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), earlier said countries belonging to the body would try to resolve the political crisis in Syria, without calling for outside help.
