KINSHASA, Dec 6 (Reuters) - Democratic Republic of Congo election officials on Tuesday announced a 48-hour delay in publishing results of the Nov. 28 presidential election because they said they had not received results from all the polling stations.
The result of the presidential election had been expected on Tuesday.
"Yes, there is a 48-hour delay," Laurent Ndaye, a spokesman Congo's national election commission, told Reuters.
"We have not received all the official tallies from polling stations, that is the reason." (Reporting by Jonny Hogg; Writing by Bate Felix)
