Hi all - happy Saint Patrick’s Day/Mother’s Day to you!  In the midst of the panic and stress of deciding what to buy our mums this year, we at TrustMedia have been hard at work.

But before we give you our weekly update, let us apologize for any trouble viewing the website. The office has been experiencing some technical difficulties as of late, but most of them have been fixed or will be fixed very soon. Please bear with us if the site isn’t quite as up-to-date as usual.

Onto the fun bit! This week at TrustMedia we’ve been checking in with our Alumni- their blogs are rolling in from the Writing Business and Financial News course inLondon two weeks ago and we couldn’t be happier with the response. We’ve had great reviews from the trainees and hope the course helps them further their careers.

Check out reflections from Minh Tri Le, a financial and business reporter for Thanh Nien Newspaper inVietnam, and Ahmed AlKabarit from SAFA News Agency inPalestineon their experience with the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

TrustMedia also recently caught up with Pranom Leephan-Williams, an alumnus of a 1997 TRF “Writing and Producing Television News” course in England and Germany. She worked for as a TV correspondent for many years before leaving her job to move to the US and raise a child. Now, she hopes to get back into the business she loves and spread important news stories to her fellow Thais.

Check out her blog if you’re curious about what she had to say, or to check out what a TRF course looked like in the 90s!

Also, Nayrouz Talaat published an article about foreign funding to NGOs in Egypt and the government’s restrictions on the some staff working at non-profits. Talaat took our “Writing Financial and Business News” course a while back and is now working at The Egyptian Gazette. You can read the piece here.

We’re so proud of our alumni and are glad to hear so many success stories! If you’d like to be in the next round of alumni, we have applications open for the following courses:
