We are all a bit star struck here at the foundation as Thomson Reuters hosted the Power to Perform speaker series. This sports-themed programme of events to celebrate London holding the Olympics hosted some of Great Britain’s most well known athletes, including, Daley Thomson, Denise Lewis, and Danny Crates. It was amazing to hear these athletes inspirational stories. We even got to take pictures with actual Olympic gold medals and the Beijing Olympic torch-so cool!
In course news, we have had a very good Business Reporting course in Beijing this week at Tsinghua University. We are so proud of all of our participants and alumni and are glad to hear so many success stories! Any blogs/videos/pictures are ALWAYS welcome. In fact, we are beginning to organize a video-clip project where we will be creating short videos with tips and advice for journalists. We will also feature videos of alumni telling their stories, so be sure to check back on the website for the latest updates on this new venture. All alumni should register with our Alumni Directory so you can stay in touch with your new-found global friends in your everyday lives.
Another new intern, Hannah, arrives from the states next week, and we are all excited to make her part of the team!
That’s it for us! As always, check our website for updates on media training courses available, as deadlines are fast-approaching. And, be sure to keep up with us on Facebook and Twitter. Here’s a quick list of the courses currently accepting applications:
