Making TV News course in Hanoi

Thomson Reuters Foundation held its annual Asia training course “Making Television News” in Hanoi, Vietnam from September 4-8 at the Vietnam Television HQ. The course was attended by participants from Vietnam and Myanmar.  The five day course was led by Reuters Asia Deputy TV Editor Ahmed Assar and  Veteran Cameraman Vinh Nguyen Van.

Participants were shown creative approaches to producing better TV news. The workshop included lectures, video examples and several practical exercises in which the participants had to play different roles in news gathering.  Huong Vu a reporter from VOV TV said” I find this course very helpful and valuable. Thank you !”
