Foundation runs "Making Television News" course in Lima

Thomson Reuters Foundation held  its yearly training course in Latin America , “Making Television News” in Lima, Peru, from August 20-24. The 5-day course was led by Latin America Television Deputy Editor Sandra Bernard and Senior Cameraman Manuel Carrillo.

The course was attended by TV news journalists from various Peruvian TV media outlets. Peru Bureau chief Terry Wade  gave a short talk on the importance of Reuters as a multimedia news agency, their independence, strong editorial values and their speed.

Journalists  were shown creative approaches to producing better TV news stories, The workshop included lectures, practical exercises and video examples. The comments from participants were unanimously positive and very encouraging. They also felt very motivated and emerged with new ideas to put into practice”.
