Two weeks of bitter fighting have left much of the Syrian town of Qusair in ruins.
The governor of Homs, whose province includes Qusair, says his region will be "the graveyard of global terror".
''Wherever terrorism goes and wherever it escapes, the footsteps of the Syrian army will follow it along with the honourable patriotic people, to put an end to terrorism and make Syria the graveyard of global terror, '' governor of Homs, Ahmad Mounir Mohamed, governor of Homs, said.
Syrian government forces and their Lebanese Hezbollah allies have taken control of the town.
A local opposition group says more than 500 rebels died in the fighting, and a thousand more were wounded.
