Explosion in Kabul a suicide attack in diplomatic compound - police source

KABUL, June 11 (Reuters) - A loud explosion was heard in the Afghan capital Kabul's diplomatic area at about 4.20 pm (1150 GMT) and a police source said it was a suicide attack not far from the U.S. Embassy.

The explosion was near the Supreme Court compound, about 200 metres from the entrance to the U.S. Embassy, the source said. No other details were immediately available.
