Obama says Afghans must lead on peace process with Taliban

ENNISKILLEN, Northern Ireland, June 18 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama said peace in Afghanistan will only come through an Afghanistan-led peace process, and while he commended Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday for taking a courageous step toward peace, Obama said the process will not be easy nor quick.

Obama made his comments after officials said the United States will meet the Taliban in Doha for peace talks. (Reporting by Jeff Mason; editing by Jackie Frank)
