Malala is making the rounds across the major news media outlets, telling the BBC Sunday that she see's her futue in politics.
(SOUNDBITE) 16-YEAR-OLD HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST MALALA YOUSAFZAI SAYING:
"Yes, I want to be a politician in Pakistan because I don't want to be a politician in a country that is already developed. I want to be a politician in that country that needs developing."
She was shot in the head almost exactly one year ago by the Taliban with her outspoken views on women's rights to education.
(SOUNDBITE) 16-YEAR-OLD HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST MALALA YOUSAFZAI SAYING:
"We want to help every child in every country that we can. We'll start from Pakistan and Afghanistan and Syria now, especially because they are suffering the most and they are on the top that need our help."
Reaction to her recent book, "I Am Malala," has been mixed among some in hometown Pakistan.
STUDENT FROM CHARBAGH TOWN, MOHAMMAD ATEEQ, SAYING;
"All this recognition may be good for her internationally. It may be good for her family. But we have not benefited from it."
Though it may be some time before the 16-year-old has the means -- not to mention, the necessary education -- to lead in Pakistan, the Clinton Global Citizen award recipient has certainly been recognized in the West for her contributions for change.
