France won't decide on Russia Mistral sale before Oct-govt source

PARIS, May 8 (Reuters) - France is not planning to review the sale of two Mistral helicopter-carrier ships to Russia before October, a French government source said on Thursday.

Responding to a media report of U.S. concerns over the sale, the source said: "France's position remains the same."

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius is due to travel to the United States on Sunday and will meet U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to discuss the crisis in Ukraine. (Reporting by John Irish; Editing by James Regan)
