Four students injured in shooting near Atlanta area high school

ATLANTA, May 13 (Reuters) - At least four students were shot near an Atlanta area high school, though none received life threatening injuries, local media reported on Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred near Therrell High School in southwest Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, citing police.

The High School was briefly placed on lockdown, the Atlanta Public Schools system reported.

Those shot are believed to be students from Therrell High School, a spokeswoman for school system told the paper. All the injured were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
