June 20 (Reuters) - One person died and another was injured on Friday when a commercial building collapsed in southern New Jersey about 10 miles east of Philadelphia, according to local media reports.

A former Blockbuster Video store in Cherry Hill, New Jersey was being demolished when it collapsed, killing one person inside the building, NBC's television affiliate in Philadelphia said.

Another worker was injured in the accident and taken to a local hospital, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Live aerial footage from NBC showed authorities surrounding the fallen building, which was reduced to rubble, and digging through the debris.

Representatives for local police and fire officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment. (Reporting by Curtis Skinner in New York,; Editing by Barbara Goldberg, Eric Beech and Susan Heavey)
