KINSHASA, July 22 (Reuters) - Gunfire rang out on Tuesday near a major military base in Democratic Republic of Congo's capital, Kinshasa, a witness said.

The shooting began early afternoon near Camp Tshatshi but it was not immediately clear who was involved.

Camp Tshatshi was the scene of fighting in December last year when gunmen also attacked state television and an airport in the capital. (Reporting by Pete Jones; Writing by David Lewis)
