* Southern mainland Europe poised for cool September
LONDON, Aug 25 (Reuters) - Above-normal temperatures are expected across Scandinavia, eastern and central mainland Europe and the UK for the September-November period, Weather Services International (WSI) said on Monday.
However, temperatures could turn cooler from September in Iberia, France and Italy, said WSI, whose forecasts are aimed at the commodities and energy sectors.
"The remains of Hurricane Bertha have helped to trigger a pattern change towards much cooler temperatures across western Europe so far in August," WSI meteorologist Todd Crawford said.
"We currently expect this pattern to linger into at least early September, so we have expanded the area of forecasted below-normal temperatures to encompass all of southern Europe," WSI meteorologist Todd Crawford said.
