In 2009, five years after the Indian Ocean tsunami, Thomson Reuters Foundation and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) created a multimedia project to document the experiences of some of the millions of people caught up in the worst natural disaster in living memory.
The project includes an hour-by-hour graphic detailing the damage caused by the tsunami and a series of short films telling the personal stories of individuals from four different countries. The stories are as vivid in 2014 as they were five years ago. You can view the package here: http://tsunami.trust.org/
