Lt Gen Sir Graeme Lamb: is the world predominantly unstable?

by Derek Thorne

Interview recorded in October 2014

Lt General Sir Graeme Lamb, formerly the director of UK special forces and commander of the British field army, explains how the number of states classed as unstable is now so high that "global instability" can no longer be ignored.

This interview was filmed in London in October 2014 at the Global Security Seminar, a gathering of top journalists and security experts. Some of what is said may have been overtaken by more recent developments.

The Global Security Seminar is organised by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, The Stanley Foundation and Gerda Henkel Stiftung

The video was produced by journalism students at Bournemouth University's Media School
