Makhtar Diop is the World Bank’s Vice President for Infrastructure. He previously served for six years as the World Bank’s Vice President for the Africa Region. An economist by training, he served as the World Bank’s country director for Brazil and the country director for Kenya, Eritrea, and Somalia, as well as government positions, most notably Minister of Economy and Finance of Senegal.
