Tasneem Essop


Tasneem Essop is Executive Director of Climate Action Network-International (CAN). An expert on climate, energy, poverty and social justice issues, she has served on the National Planning Commission of South Africa and held senior government positions in South Africa, including as Provincial Minister for the Environment, Planning and Economic Development and Provincial Minister of Transport, Public Works and Property Management in the Western Cape. She was also global climate policy and strategy leader for WWF International.
