Alula Pankhurst is a social anthropologist and Ethiopia Country Director at Young Lives, an international study of childhood poverty run by Oxford University following children in Ethiopia, India, Peru and Vietnam. His main areas of research are urban relocation, child work, early marriage and harmful traditional practices and violence against children.
