Tommy Esang Remengesau, Jr. is the ninth President of the Republic of Palau and leader of the Global Island Partnership (GLISPA). Since his election as President of Palau in 2000, Remengesau has worked hard to “preserve the best, improve the rest” for Palau, for generations to come. Remengesau founded GLISPA in 2006 to promote collaboration and action in building resilience for all islands.
