With the growing crisis in Iraq, WFP has started providing food assistance to the most vulnerable families who found sanctuary in the Kurdish region after fleeing their homes when the northern Iraqi city of Mosul fell to a rebel offensive. WFP has begun to distribute food on to internally displaced people at Kalak camp, in the area between Erbil and Mosul, with the help of partners such as ACTED and the International Organization for Migration.
