Welcome to the new blog from the TrustLaw Connect team. Headquartered in London but with Foundation staff in six regional hubs on five continents, we regularly travel the world to make sure non-governmental organisations and social enterprises can access free legal assistance whenever they need it, wherever they are.
We help top-notch lawyers put their skills to use for organisations with all sorts of legal needs and to support their advocacy with legal research.
We learn every day about the opportunities and challenges facing NGOs, social enterprises and lawyers who seek to improve the lives of those in need in all corners of the globe: How can they protect their volunteers and employees? How do they make sure that any contract they go into is rock solid? How could the laws in their country be changed or enforced?
We’ll use this blog to give you a behind-the-scenes look at how we run this community of almost 1,000 member organisations, and share what we learn on our trips and when we meet leaders in their fields. From start-ups in India to the biggest law firm in Mexico, we’ll share news from our team and from our network.
We hope you find it interesting and we’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Get in touch at trustlaw@thomsonreuters.com or tweet us @trustlawconnect.
